Chris Gosling And The Caravan Channel Depart Company
ByThe Caravan Channel - The End of an Era
After Four years of continuously producing a bi-monthly episode (or Edition as Chris preferred to call it ) Chris Gosling of the Caravan Channel, has decided to move on to greater things, and will no longer be presenting or producing the show on a full time basis.
The new owners, Information TV, have decided to take on the role of production themselves, and to hear what Chris has to say about it, you can go to his blog here The Caravan Channel
I would like to say that he will be missed by many, as his quirky and sometimes amateurish approach was all part of the charm and watch-ability the Caravan Channel had, and that well may be where it finally ends. Chris was the Caravan Channel, and that is probably why he found it so hard to find someone to take over the role of running it.
Without Chris presenting the show with the style, enthusiasm and passion for caravanning he obvious had, I just wonder if the guy’s at Information TV will be able to continually produce such a following, sometimes change or something different to what your used to can take a lot of time, and is not as readily accepted. . . . . . . It will be a challenge, and I speak from experience !

Noisy caravan pumps.
Why is it that nearly all new caravans fitted with internal whale pumps are extremely noisy.
This is very annoying if people are in bed and someone needs to use a tap in the middle of the night.
You would think that the caravan manufacturers who do know about this problem but do not seem to care at all.
Would it be possible for yourselves to look into this.
Many thanks

I can understand how you feel John about the out of focus and vignetting of almost all the shots , and i agree it is anoying to watch, having myself spent many years trying to perfect my filming, and produce a sharp as sharp image as i can, but i think you are a little confused ?
Our show and this site is not the Caravan Channel, and i also don’t know if Chris Gosling the former producer of the caravan channel or the new producers will be reading any of this, so your thoughts of the new format the Caravan channel has adopted is not relevant, but thank you for your comments anyway !!!
